We are happy to announce that we are expanding our Helping Hands program to the South Elgin office of Village Counseling Center. Shelly Rubenic is our Resident Therapist in the South Elgin office and we can begin scheduling Helping Hands clients immediately. Shelly has limited availability, so call right away if you are interested. The fees for clients enrolled in the Helping Hand program are: $40.00 for your initial session, $30 for couples and $25 for individuals thereafter.
Here are some details on how it works:
The Helping Hand program is for people who need counseling but whose financial circumstances might prevent them from getting it. Our Resident Therapist provides counseling to people without insurance (or the ability to pay the ‘Out of Pocket” fees which are $130/psychologist & $100/all other clinical counselors). So, what would someone need to do to become enrolled in this program? Here is a brief overview of the process.
- Step 1: Call us at (847) 488-1999, and ask to talk to the office staff. Inform them that you are interested in our Helping Hand program.
- Step 2: If you do not have insurance and cannot afford the “Out of Pocket Rate” with one of our clinical counselors, the staff will work with you to find an appointment time that works for you and Shelly Rubenic our Resident Therapist.
- Step 3: Upon arriving at the office for your first session, you will be asked to fill out our Confidential Client Form & VCC Billing Policy. Payment of $25.00 is expected at time of service.
- Step 4: As you go through the counseling process, inform your therapist if you obtain insurance coverage.
We have had hundreds of people go through our Helping Hand program with great success. If you or someone you know needs counseling but does not have insurance and/or cannot pay out of pocket, please give us a call. Our office staff will be glad to help and our Resident Therapist will be eager to meet with you.
