Why People Return to VCC

Publication Date:
July 27, 2016

Since its inception in 1994, VCC has continued to build on the founding principles of providing World Class Service, genuine care for people and the desire to help every client grow, heal and effectively tackle the issues that brought them into our offices.  In the initial session every VCC therapist works to identify the concerns of each client, helping them to identify goals for the counseling process.  VCC therapists are trained to approach each new client with the assumption that this may be the only time this person goes to counseling in his/her life. We want to help each client to get as much work done as possible in the time that is available to work with them.

From time to time we will hear our office staff comment that “Everybody calling today only wants to see  . . .,” and she will name one of our therapists.  We regularly find that people return for more counseling from 6 months to a couple of years after their first course of sessions.   Life has a way of presenting us with new challenges, and people who found significant help when it was needed at an earlier time in their life return to that same place the next time they need help.  People return to VCC because they get better.

People return to VCC because:

  • VCC works hard to verify your insurance benefits so you know what it will cost, we do not want you to have any unpleasant surprises.
  • We do all the billing directly to your insurance company.
  • We work hard to assure that you have a good fit with your Therapist.
  • We have a well-oiled scheduling process and will not give up until we find a time that works for you.
  • We have comfortable and high regard for your privacy.

People return to VCC because:

  • They know someone really cares about them, wants to help them and has listened to everything they had to say.
  • They know that someone really “gets” them and understands them.
  • They do not feel judged.
  • They learn that there is hope for them and their situation.
  • They do not have to start all over again telling their story.
  • They like the fact that we recognize and celebrate their victories.
  • They received the help they needed the first time and are confident that it will happen again.
