Lora Proia, M.S., LCPC, NCC is a staff therapist at Village Counseling Center and is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and National Certified Counselor. She received her MS in counseling from National-Louis University. Life is full of transitions and everyone has difficulties at some point in their lives but she believes that individuals have a choice in how they react. Everyone can make their life better, and more peaceful. She is talented at helping individuals develop coping strategies and empowering individuals to make choices for themselves that will help them move forward. She does not believe that the past defines one's future but instead be used as a learning tool for making better choices in the future.
