My job is:
the best job in the world. It s a blessing and an honor to have clientsÂ’ emotional lives in my hands and to help them discover peace as a lifestyle for a lifetime.
The challenges of my job are:
many and varied. I love my job so much that it is hard to say “no” to an opportunity to help bring about growth and positive life-change.
My job is extraordinary because:
few have the opportunity to change lives for a lifetime, which in turn positively affects spouses, friends, family, workmates, children, and acquaintances of the client who has grown and changed.
I’m extraordinary because:
I have the gift and ability to connect with almost anyone or any couple and to influence them to change in ways that bring peace and joy.
I help to bring new hope to people by:
connecting with them immediately, focusing on truth as God sees it, and providing wisdom and encouragement to produce change for a lifetime.
I bring hope to my community by:
helping as many clients as I can find hope, peace, and positive live change for a lifetime.
Words of hope that I live by are:
“You will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.”
One extraordinary little known fact about me is:
I underwent open heart surgery when I was 6 years old to patch up a hole in my heart (atrial septal defect).
Village Counseling Center is an extraordinary place to work because:
the quantity and variety of new clients gives us unending chances to make a difference in peoples lives for a lifetime.
What I’d say to a therapist considering joining our extraordinary team is:
be ready to work hard, play hard and give your everythingÂ…then sit back and enjoy the blessings.
