My job is:
A blessing in which I get to partner with children and their families to provide education, guidance, and support.
The challenges of my job are:
Helping clients understand they are extraordinary and they have the ability to make whatever changes they want in their lives
My job is extraordinary because:
My clients are extraordinary, brave, and courageous in seeking out therapy and allowing me to walk alongside them to help them navigate the challenges they face
I’m extraordinary because:
I am able to be present with clients through their hurts and pain and allow them a safe place to work through these feelings
I help to bring new hope to people by:
Accepting every individual exactly where they are while supporting them in a nurturing, empathic environment.
I bring hope to my community by:
Bringing about an understanding that even young children do benefit from therapy and helping parents understand their child’s social emotional, behavioral, and educational needs.
One extraordinary little known fact about me is:
I love the Wizard of OZ. “All you need is confidence in yourself. There is no living thing that is not afraid when it faces danger. The true courage is in facing danger when you are afraid, and that kind of courage you have in plenty”. L Frank Baum, T
Village Counseling Center is an extraordinary place to work because:
All individuals are committed to clients feeling respected and accepted.
What I’d say to a therapist considering joining our extraordinary team is:
Everyone is committed to helping every client as well as one another grow in a healthy and productive environment.
