My job is:
something I look forward to doing each day. My job is not something I have to do but something I want to do.
The challenges of my job are:
helping my clients realize and understand that with help, guidance and support, their lives will get better. It just takes time, patience and work.
My job is extraordinary because:
I am able to learn so much from my clients which in turn helps me to understand and help them.
I’m extraordinary because:
I am so open minded about everything and not only accept others but welcome and encourage differences in one another.
I help to bring new hope to people by:
assisting them to find positive aspects in themselves and their lives even in the most troubled times.
I bring hope to my community by:
educating people about behavioral health issues in hopes to end the stigma of mental illness.
One extraordinary little known fact about me is:
that I worked as a bounty hunter.
Village Counseling Center is an extraordinary place to work because:
of the deep respect and concern everyone has for one another. There is a definite cohesiveness and camaraderie.
What I’d say to a therapist considering joining our extraordinary team is:
there is nowhere else you where you will feel more accepted, respected, encouraged and appreciated by management and fellow clinicians.
