Cheryl Thompson, LCSW, enjoys working with adults, adolescents, and children in individual, couple, and family therapy. Cheryl received her MSW from the University of Illinois, School of Social Work in 1989 and has practiced in a variety of settings including outpatient counseling, adult partial hospitalization, and inpatient psychiatric.
Cheryl works with a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, mood disorders, relational issues, stress management, and grief & loss. Cheryl uses a warm & accepting approach and believes in empowering her clients in their daily lives. She desires to see healing in the lives of her clients and their families as they grow in caring for themselves and one another.
Although Cheryl is equally excellent working with both men's and women's issues, she has a particular passion for working with codependency, sexual abuse, body image, distorted thinking, and eating disorders.
